As a Pharmacy Technician, you will have the opportunity to impact people’s lives every day by preparing, counting, and labeling their prescriptions, processing their billing and insurance coverage, and even managing their options for reimbursement. Although most Pharmacy Technicians may work in private pharmacies, many of them also work in hospitals where they can directly serve the prescription needs of their patients.
The Pharmacy Tech curriculum at Brookline College will prepare you for all of these tasks. Our state-of-the-art labs are equipped with some of the latest pharmacy technology, including laminar flow hoods, counting trays, ointment slabs, prescription balances, mortars and pestles, and various other learning aids. We also have interactive software to enhance your learning experience.
Our program also includes an externship where you can gain first-hand experience in the field by working closely with patients, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare personnel. Brookline College also partners with Fry’s Food Stores Pharmacy and Walgreens Pharmacies to support these training opportunities.
In just 34 weeks, you’ll be fully prepared to take on an entry-level position as a Pharmacy Technician. If you want to advance your education down the line, you can seamlessly transfer your Diploma credits to earn an Associate’s Degree in Allied Health.
