What certifications will I be eligible for upon completing the accelerated BSN track?

As a BSN nursing graduate, you will be qualified to take the NCLEX-RN exam to become a Registered Nurse. Obtaining an RN license allows you to work as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state you chose to take the exam. This pre-licensure nursing program also prepares you to continue your education through Unitek Learning and earn a Master’s Degree in Nursing.

Accelerated BSN Curriculum

Many of our BSN graduates can transition to entry-level Registered Nursing positions in a short time frame. As a nursing student, you will learn how to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within various clinical settings.

Our 16-month ABSN track includes pre-professional nursing training and hands-on instruction in various settings. Our nursing courses include online learning and laboratory activities integrated with clinical experiences and up-to-date simulations.

BSN students also receive clinical experience in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics to supplement their online instruction. Our goal is to help you develop the necessary skills and competencies to provide nursing care across the healthcare continuum.

Accelerated BSN Track Admissions Requirements

Applicants are required to take the complete HESI admission assessment examination. To be accepted into the accelerated BSN track, you must either have an existing Bachelor’s degree in another area or have completed the required 53 credits of general education courses. Required general education science and math courses include, but are not limited to the following courses (25 credits), which also have recency requirements of 5 years.

  • Anatomy and Physiology (two courses) with labs, a minimum of 8 semester credits
  • Microbiology with Lab, a minimum of 4 semester credits
  • Chemistry with Lab, a minimum of 4 semester credits
  • Statistics (in any field of study), a minimum of 3 semester credits.
  • Nutrition, a minimum of 3 semester credits
  • Pathophysiology, a minimum of 3 semester credit

Brookline College does not have delayed acceptance. Once you’re accepted into the ABSN track, you are in! Other schools usually won’t accept a student into the Nursing program until after completing a group of required classes and maintaining a cut-score GPA.
