As a Pharmacy Technician, you will have the opportunity to impact people’s lives every day by preparing, labeling, and distributing their prescription medications. You will help people by processing their billing and prescription drug coverage while also helping them manage their options for reimbursement. Although most Pharmacy Technicians work in private pharmacies, many of them also directly serve their patients inside a hospital or medical care facility.
Our Phoenix Pharmacy Technician program will prepare for a majority of these duties and responsibilities so that you can launch your Pharmacy Tech career with confidence and experience. To enrich your learning experience, our Phoenix campus offers state-of-the-art pharmacy equipment and technology, including laminar flow hoods, counting trays, ointment slabs, prescription balances, mortars and pestles, and various other learning aids.
You will also receive hands-on experience outside the lab. Our Pharmacy Tech program includes an externship opportunity where you will receive on-the-job training from experienced Pharmacy Technicians and other pharmacy personnel. Our Phoenix campus partners with Walgreens Pharmacies and Fry’s Food Store Pharmacy to support these external training programs.
In just 34 weeks, you’ll be fully prepared to take on an entry-level position as a Pharmacy Technician. If you want to advance your education down the line, you can seamlessly transfer your diploma credits to earn an Associate’s Degree in Allied Health.
