Medical Insurance Billing and Coding (MIBC) technicians are at the heart of the healthcare industry. As a MIBC technician, you will be directly responsible for assigning the right codes to process every treatment and procedure performed within a hospital or medical facility. You will also directly work with patients to process insurance claims on a daily basis. Upon graduation, you will have acquired all the necessary skills to pursue this integral role.
Through our Phoenix hybrid program, you will be trained in every aspect of Medical Insurance Billing and Coding. You will learn how to manage and organize patient information, health records, and medical reports while reporting key pieces of this information to insurance companies for reimbursement.
In addition to a comprehensive classroom curriculum, our program includes an externship, which allows you to apply your newfound knowledge and skills in a local healthcare facility. This hands-on experience will prepare you for what’s to come in your future as a MIBC technician.
Upon completing this program, you’ll be eligible to take the certification and licensure exams related to Medical Insurance Billing and Coding. Certification is optional for employment, but it will undoubtedly help you stand out from other candidates in the field.
